| Miramont Castle
I will likely not do a good job in describing the many highlights of the Miramont Castle in Manitou Springs, but I'll give it a try. On top of being a historic building with a very interesting stories behind the various ways that it functioned in the community, Miramont Castle current acts as a museum that contains much documentation, photos and artifacts of Manitou Springs' history. There is also a really beautiful flower garden beside it and a small dining area that serves cold cut sandwiches, tea and other items for lunch. Miramont Castle is located just off of Ruxton Avenue at 9 Capitol Hill Avenue. An admission charge is required for entry. -Steve (August 5, 2006)
